Description
To many Americans, it is unthinkable to sell off portions of our National Parks. It doesn’t matter if it’s a strip mining operation, exclusive resort consortium, private billionaires, or to other industrial or private organizations. These lands were preserved not just for our current generation, but all future generations.
It is just as egregious to abandon our National Parks Service organization by cutting its employees, reducing protections from natural disasters, eliminating tours and other nature programs that educate the next generation of Americans. In fact, from a financial perspective it doesn’t make any sense: Our National Parks actually generate positive return on the dollars that are allocated.
