    Care Kits

Many people in our area and across the nation are struggling and need help. Homelessness affects veterans and the elderly, among others. Help is desperately needed and appreciated.

Care kits are helpful for some people. We make care kits that provide basic hygiene and nutrition. They also include a printed reference guide listing local resources for various assistance.

Care Kits can include nutrition bars, health items, cleaning aids, and clothing. We assemble our basic Care Kit in a sturdy ziplock 1-gallon bag. Keep it in your car to distribute. Provide it to friends so they can distribute too.

Here is a list of our basic Care Kit items:

    • Toothbrush and paste
    • 4 different packages of nuts / trail mix / and Fruit
    • Packages of fruit bar snack
    • Protein bar
    • Mini cleaning packets (alcohol wipes)
    • Bandages/Bandaids
    • Kleenex tissues (mini pack)
    • Lip Balm
    • Nail clippers
    • Comb or brush
    • Chewing gum or mints
    • Jerky
    • Raisins
    • Nail clippers
    • A personal note from us
    • Printout of local organizations and agencies that provide help (medical, housing/shelter, food, work, etc).

Note: Some advice we have researched was to avoid nuts. Not because of allergies, but because many homeless suffer from poor dental care and can’t easily eat hard things.

Some other suggestions are to include socks, feminine products, water bottle, poncho, tuna cracker snacks and sunscreen..
